For many years whenever I would visit my Aunt Susie’s, I dreamed how beautiful her beloved home would look remodeled. Aunt Susie had the typical old ranch style home with gold carpet covering hardwoods, ugly vinyl in her kitchen, old appliances and Formica countertops. Nothing had been updated in 30 years.
The ravages of age had taken a toll on Aunt Susie’s home as well as her health. Unfortunately at almost 90 years of age, Aunt Susie wasn’t able to have contractors in for a month to redo her home so my visions of her home’s transformation remained a dream.
When Aunt Susie died this year, I was placed in charge of her estate. She lived in a small Georgia town where her $95K home was competing against foreclosures. The estate could only afford to spend a few thousand to refresh her home so each penny had to be spent frugally.
Supra Remodeling made suggestions of how to invest our remodeling budget. Instead of replacing cabinets, we painted and added new hardware. Instead of granite countertops, we used granite tile. Instead of ceramic tile, we used stick-on vinyl tiles that looked like stone. We ripped up the gold carpet and refinished the wood floors. The entire house interior and exterior were painted including dark wood paneling which had made the home feel smaller and less welcoming.

Supra Remodeling made my dreams for Aunt Susie’s home a reality. Seeing the finished job was even better then I had dreamed.
Wish Aunt Susie and I could have toured her home after her renovation. She would have been just as thrilled as the people who win an Extreme Home Makeover. Supra Remodeling did a spectacular job and our estate highly recommends them.
